Rhonda L.M. Tipton
A writer and visual artist, R. L. M. Tipton is descended from Scots-Irish, German,
English, and Cherokee ancestors who first came into Powell County, Kentucky, some four generations ago. Heritage and history, as well as the sustainable future, rank high in Tipton’s interests.
Tipton has worked with horses since childhood, and spent some years working in Kentucky’s famous and infamous horse-related industries. A love of the wild things of the forest and the companion creatures of the region stand as building blocks for her art.
The Tiptons live in a remote, unfinished cabin on Furnace Mountain with numerous animal friends both large and small.
